Carlton
Carlton is a mixed use development along a new collector road that traverses through property that previous development has bypassed. The planning is based upon knitting together the surrounding suburban landscape with the dense urban framework of the new, multi-use development.
The new collector road and adjacent development is intended to be a highly urban environment, with the office uses designed and placed as “Main Street” structures. Additionally, service and retail uses are to be placed at street level in strategic locations. The entertainment retail follows a Lake Forest model, with the hotel and office uses occurring over the retail and restaurant space. Development components include: Rental Multi-Family, For Sale Townhouse, Single Family Housing, Multi-tenant/Build-to-Suit Office, Entertainment Retail, and a 150 Room Luxury Hotel.
The buildings, containing over 850,000 sf, are oriented along the Main Street and a town square, exemplifying the typical proportions associated with traditional urban environments. At the base of the buildings are retail uses that support the daily needs of the office workers, and that appeal to a broader community simply because of the urbanism that is part of the total design.
