Antiquity
Shook Kelley designed the overall master plan for Antiquity, with particular planning of the mixed use village center, the design of the covered bridge, and various aspects of the retail buildings.
Antiquity is a new, 128-acre smart growth community, master planned to preserve and enhance an area’s natural and cultural resources with mixed land uses, walkable neighborhoods, open spaces, ties to existing communities and the natural beauty and charm of downtown Cornelius, NC.
The covered-bridge entrance reflects the easy, friendly feeling envisioned for this new community. The streets of Antiquity are lined with more than 1,000 residences built with all ages and stages in mind. On-street parking and garages accessible only by alleyways allow residents to enjoy uninterrupted sidewalks throughout Antiquity, including those leading to and around the town center.
